Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia All Share Health Care and FTSE Italia Telecommunications sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which rose 1.76% or 0.19 points to trade at 10.69 at the close. Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT:ISP) added 1.20% or 0.04 points to end at 3.46 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 1.03% or 0.23 points to 22.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which fell 4.67% or 1.87 points to trade at 38.19 in late trade. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) declined 2.22% or 0.01 points to end at 0.22 and Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) down 1.86% or 0.09 points to 4.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 268 to 208 and 45 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.10% or 0.08 to $80.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.08% or 0.07 to hit $85.26 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.95 to trade at $2,344.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.82.
