Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia Oil & Gas and FTSE Italia All Share Health Care sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which rose 2.07% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.25 at the close. Hera (BIT:HRA) added 1.94% or 0.07 points to end at 3.67 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) was up 1.79% or 0.21 points to 11.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI), which fell 3.17% or 0.82 points to trade at 25.01 in late trade. Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) declined 2.72% or 0.39 points to end at 13.96 and Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) down 2.58% or 2.45 points to 92.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 254 to 236 and 57 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Hera (BIT:HRA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.94% or 0.07 to 3.67. Shares in Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.79% or 0.21 to 11.96.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 5.08% or 3.75 to $70.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.87% or 3.77 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 17.20 to trade at $2,682.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.97.
