Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Utilities, FTSE Italia All Share Health Care and FTSE Italia Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 1.68% or 0.25 points to trade at 15.10 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 1.60% or 0.42 points to end at 26.71 and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT:ISP) was up 1.18% or 0.05 points to 3.97 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which fell 2.41% or 0.31 points to trade at 12.40 in late trade. ERG (BIT:ERG) declined 2.20% or 0.48 points to end at 21.32 and Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) down 1.85% or 1.00 points to 53.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 275 to 203 and 52 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in ERG (BIT:ERG) fell to 3-year lows; falling 2.20% or 0.48 to 21.32.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.34% or 0.23 to $67.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.44% or 0.31 to hit $70.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 27.60 to trade at $2,783.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 104.23.
