Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Technology, FTSE Italia All Share Health Care and FTSE Italia All Share Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which rose 1.17% or 0.06 points to trade at 5.54 at the close. Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI) added 1.12% or 0.25 points to end at 22.58 and A2A SpA (BIT:A2) was up 1.11% or 0.02 points to 1.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK), which fell 2.02% or 0.29 points to trade at 14.27 in late trade. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 1.87% or 0.15 points to end at 7.89 and Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI) down 1.51% or 0.09 points to 5.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 306 to 168 and 42 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) fell to 3-year lows; losing 1.87% or 0.15 to 7.89.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.78% or 0.59 to $75.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.40% or 0.31 to hit $78.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.13% or 27.60 to trade at $2,460.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.07.
