Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the FTSE Italia Telecommunications, FTSE Italia Utilities and FTSE Italia All Share Health Care sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 2.35% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.35 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 1.57% or 0.57 points to end at 36.88 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) was up 1.37% or 0.13 points to 9.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which fell 3.66% or 3.55 points to trade at 93.50 in late trade. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:TRN) declined 1.66% or 0.12 points to end at 7.22 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) down 1.65% or 0.08 points to 4.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 258 to 214 and 56 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.10% or 0.08 to $81.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $85.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.45 to trade at $2,341.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 105.54.
