Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the FTSE Italia All Share Travel & Leisure, FTSE Italia All Share Chemicals and FTSE Italia All Share Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which rose 3.00% or 0.36 points to trade at 12.38 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 1.82% or 0.47 points to end at 26.03 and Hera (BIT:HRA) was up 1.39% or 0.05 points to 3.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which fell 3.13% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.08 in late trade. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) declined 2.41% or 0.01 points to end at 0.24 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) down 1.92% or 0.11 points to 5.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 286 to 205 and 50 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.69% or 1.21 to $70.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.66% or 1.26 to hit $74.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.95% or 26.35 to trade at $2,733.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 104.31.
