Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the FTSE Italia All Share Travel & Leisure, FTSE Italia All Share Industrials and FTSE Italia All Share Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.90% to hit a new 5-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 8.14% or 2.58 points to trade at 34.26 at the close. Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) added 4.23% or 0.58 points to end at 14.30 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) was up 3.41% or 0.22 points to 6.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG), which fell 3.14% or 1.24 points to trade at 38.20 in late trade. Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) declined 2.55% or 1.72 points to end at 65.66 and Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) down 2.23% or 0.60 points to 26.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 315 to 209 and 45 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.61% or 0.43 to $71.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.45% or 0.34 to hit $75.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 11.35 to trade at $2,912.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 106.65.
