Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the FTSE Italia Utilities, FTSE Italia All Share Health Care and FTSE Italia All Share Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which rose 3.09% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.34 at the close. A2A SpA (BIT:A2) added 3.02% or 0.06 points to end at 2.08 and Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) was up 2.60% or 10.80 points to 426.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which fell 4.63% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.24 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.77% or 0.34 points to end at 11.86 and Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) down 0.96% or 0.06 points to 5.81.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 265 to 205 and 54 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Shares in Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.09% or 0.16 to 5.34. Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.77% or 0.34 to 11.86.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.74% or 0.56 to $75.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.64% or 0.51 to hit $78.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.44% or 37.95 to trade at $2,677.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.66.
