Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the FTSE Italia Telecommunications, FTSE Italia All Share Industrials and FTSE Italia Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 2.72% or 0.57 points to trade at 21.53 at the close. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) added 2.56% or 0.01 points to end at 0.25 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 1.90% or 0.04 points to 2.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG), which fell 1.69% or 0.70 points to trade at 40.72 in late trade. Italgas SpA (BIT:IG) declined 1.45% or 0.09 points to end at 5.78 and Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) down 0.94% or 0.50 points to 52.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 269 to 233 and 64 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.20% or 0.14 to $70.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $74.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.80 to trade at $2,684.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 103.29.
