Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the FTSE Italia All Share Health Care, FTSE Italia Oil & Gas and FTSE Italia All Share Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 4.64% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.12 at the close. Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) added 1.57% or 1.45 points to end at 93.80 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) was up 1.45% or 0.18 points to 12.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:BAMI), which fell 2.03% or 0.13 points to trade at 6.08 in late trade. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) declined 1.98% or 0.12 points to end at 5.93 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) down 1.77% or 0.09 points to 4.99.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 251 to 238 and 46 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.05% or 0.74 to $70.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.92% or 0.69 to hit $74.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 13.25 to trade at $2,742.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 104.07.
