Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.54%
Credit: © Reuters. – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed , Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.54% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE: AZRG ), which rose 2.28% or 480 points to trade at 21520 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TASE: ARPT ) added 1.47% or 92 points to end at 6371 and Melisron (TASE: MLSR ) was up 1.47% or 270 points to 18640 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ), which lost 13.34% or 503 points to trade at 3267 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE: BEZQ ) declined 6.55% or 15.9 points to end at 227.0 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE: OPK ) shed 5.76% or 40 points to 660.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 252 to 126 and 32 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.86% or 1.69 to $57.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.91% or 1.31 to hit $67.36 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.85 to trade at $1280.95 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.16% to 3.6156, while EUR/ILS fell 0.07% to 4.0259.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 98.025.
