Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the TA Banks 5, TA Finance and TA-Insurance & Financial Services Index sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 1.81% or 1,340.00 points to trade at 75,420.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 0.82% or 13.00 points to end at 1,601.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 0.70% or 32.00 points to 4,588.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Enlight Ene (TASE:ENLT), which fell 3.66% or 229.00 points to trade at 6,025.00 in late trade. Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE) declined 3.57% or 150.00 points to end at 4,050.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) down 3.41% or 73.00 points to 2,067.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 243 to 206 and 90 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.23% or 2.20 to $70.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.07% or 2.20 to hit $73.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 21.00 to trade at $2,680.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.01% to 3.75, while EUR/ILS rose 0.47% to 4.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.92.
