Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.54%

Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking , Biomed and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.54%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA: CEL ), which rose 6.37% or 131 points to trade at 2187 at the close. Sodastream International Ltd (TA: SODA ) added 4.26% or 1880.0 points to end at 46020.0 and Partner (TA: PTNR ) was up 3.86% or 54 points to 1454 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TA: ORA ), which lost 8.17% or 1590 points to trade at 17880 in late trade. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA: MZTF ) declined 6.52% or 468 points to end at 6710 and Poalim (TA: POLI ) shed 4.44% or 118 points to 2540.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 199 to 164 and 35 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.53% or 1.75 to $67.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.33% or 1.74 to hit $72.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1218.10 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.11% to 3.6753, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.2637.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.01.
