Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the TA Banks 5, TA Finance and TA-Insurance & Financial Services Index sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 5.55% or 81.00 points to trade at 1,540.00 at the close. NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) added 4.35% or 2,560.00 points to end at 61,420.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 4.09% or 2,900.00 points to 73,800.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT), which fell 2.55% or 900.00 points to trade at 34,400.00 in late trade. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 1.69% or 76.00 points to end at 4,420.00 and Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) down 0.56% or 9.00 points to 1,598.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 332 to 124 and 83 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.93% or 0.73 to $77.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.48% or 0.39 to hit $80.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 18.60 to trade at $2,489.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.16% to 3.72, while EUR/ILS rose 0.53% to 4.11.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 102.17.
