Israel shares higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.00%
Credit: © Reuters. – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication , Banking and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.00% to hit a new 3-year high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA: BEZQ ), which rose 7.98% or 31.9 points to trade at 431.9 at the close. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA: MZTF ) added 3.15% or 203 points to end at 6655 and Poalim (TA: POLI ) was up 2.68% or 68 points to 2604 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Elbit Systems Ltd (TA: ESLT ), which lost 1.83% or 830 points to trade at 44550 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA: TEVA ) declined 1.55% or 138 points to end at 8790 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA: GZT ) shed 0.99% or 33 points to 3305.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 287 to 104 and 18 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $67.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.61% or 7.30 to trade at $1196.00 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.6381, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.2112.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 95.31.
