Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the TA Banks 5, TA-Insurance & Financial Services Index and TA Finance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT), which rose 2.27% or 136.00 points to trade at 6,115.00 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 1.84% or 1,470.00 points to end at 81,570.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE) was up 1.78% or 104.00 points to 5,958.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 2.90% or 680.00 points to trade at 22,790.00 in late trade. Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) declined 1.95% or 1,030.00 points to end at 51,670.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) down 1.80% or 22.00 points to 1,200.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 263 to 195 and 79 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.15% or 0.11 to $73.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $76.23 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 21.94 to trade at $2,788.14 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.23% to 3.63, while EUR/ILS fell 0.38% to 3.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 107.77.
