Jane Street to Challenge SEBI’s Rs 4,843 Crore Ban Over “Index Arbitrage” Trades
Investing.com – Germany equities were mixed at the close on Thursday, as gains in the DAX Food & Beverage, DAX Technology and DAX Transportation & Logistics sectors led shares higher while losses in the DAX Construction, DAX Retail and DAX Industrial sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.29%, while the MDAX index added 0.18%, and the TecDAX index added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p), which rose 1.45% or 0.62 points to trade at 43.37 at the close. Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:HNKG_p) added 1.26% or 0.88 points to end at 70.54 and Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) was up 1.06% or 0.41 points to 39.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Siemens AG Class N (ETR:SIEGn), which fell 2.25% or 4.90 points to trade at 212.60 in late trade. Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) declined 2.25% or 0.71 points to end at 30.84 and Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:HEIG) down 2.10% or 3.75 points to 174.90.
The top performers on the MDAX were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:LHAG) which rose 2.30% to 7.02, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which was up 2.30% to settle at 2.84 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 1.78% to close at 91.60.
The worst performers were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG) which was down 5.47% to 8.40 in late trade, Evonik Industries AG (ETR:EVKn) which lost 4.85% to settle at 19.05 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 4.39% to 6.71 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn) which rose 2.12% to 39.52, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 1.78% to settle at 91.60 and Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which gained 1.71% to close at 36.86.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 4.39% to 6.71 in late trade, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:EUZG) which lost 1.96% to settle at 60.00 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 1.15% to 10.31 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 318 to 278 and 31 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 4.15% to 20.48.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.87% or 28.95 to $3,351.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.92% or 0.57 to hit $61.27 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.12% or 0.72 to trade at $63.60 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.73% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 99.24.
