Investing.com – Germany equities were mixed at the close on Friday, as gains in the DAX Technology, DAX Food & Beverage and DAX Industrial sectors led shares higher while losses in the DAX Construction, DAX Consumer & Cyclical and DAX Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.07% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index gained 0.09%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 1.97% or 1.12 points to trade at 57.84 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) added 1.97% or 0.62 points to end at 32.06 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) was up 1.72% or 0.32 points to 18.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Merck KGaA (ETR:MRCG), which fell 3.37% or 5.10 points to trade at 146.40 in late trade. Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) declined 1.77% or 4.60 points to end at 254.90 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) down 1.74% or 4.50 points to 254.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which rose 3.58% to 38.78, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which was up 3.15% to settle at 14.42 and Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which gained 2.14% to close at 32.50.
The worst performers were Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) which was down 2.06% to 30.41 in late trade, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which lost 2.01% to settle at 66.40 and SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co KgaA (ETR:1SXP) which was down 1.75% to 23.58 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which rose 3.58% to 38.78, Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which was up 2.14% to settle at 32.50 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which gained 1.97% to close at 32.06.
The worst performers were IONOS Group SE (ETR:IOSn) which was down 1.98% to 24.70 in late trade, Jenoptik AG (ETR:JENGn) which lost 1.63% to settle at 21.72 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 1.58% to 11.19 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 329 to 285 and 34 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Shares in Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.72% or 0.32 to 18.68. Shares in Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.06% or 0.64 to 30.41.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 5.14% to 14.74.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.22% or 6.29 to $2,851.49 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $72.84 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.07 to trade at $75.96 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 107.96.
