Tata Group Stock Under Spotlight After Nuvama Warns of 43% Crash
Investing.com – Germany equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the DAX Construction, DAX Retail and DAX Software sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 1.12% to hit a new 1-month low, while the MDAX index lost 1.80%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which rose 2.72% or 5.70 points to trade at 215.20 at the close. Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) added 0.79% or 0.36 points to end at 45.90 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) was up 0.23% or 0.07 points to 30.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG), which fell 4.36% or 1.21 points to trade at 26.53 in late trade. Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:HEIG) declined 2.61% or 4.65 points to end at 173.50 and Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) down 2.10% or 4.15 points to 193.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were United Internet AG NA (ETR:UTDI) which rose 0.08% to 24.40, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which was down 0.40% to settle at 74.75 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which lost 0.46% to close at 3.02.
The worst performers were Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which was down 4.27% to 24.24 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 4.13% to settle at 116.10 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 4.12% to 6.57 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which rose 2.72% to 215.20, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which was up 2.14% to settle at 22.92 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which gained 0.79% to close at 45.90.
The worst performers were Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which was down 4.16% to 23.04 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 4.13% to settle at 116.10 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 4.12% to 6.57 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 435 to 142 and 35 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.14% to 23.58 a new 1-month high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.70% or 23.79 to $3,384.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.07% or 1.52 to hit $75.02 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.06% or 1.58 to trade at $78.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 98.67.
