EV stock jumps after company announces its Q1 FY26 results
Investing.com – Germany equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the DAX Construction, DAX Telecom and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 1.03% to hit a new 1-month low, while the MDAX index fell 0.93%, and the TecDAX index fell 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn), which rose 1.69% or 5.90 points to trade at 354.40 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) added 1.04% or 0.30 points to end at 29.25 and BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN) was up 0.35% or 0.15 points to 42.57 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG), which fell 4.47% or 2.21 points to trade at 47.28 in late trade. Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) declined 4.33% or 1.24 points to end at 27.41 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) down 2.44% or 0.70 points to 28.02.
The top performers on the MDAX were K+S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which rose 3.21% to 16.73, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was up 2.78% to settle at 14.23 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG) which gained 2.05% to close at 8.85.
The worst performers were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG) which was down 6.80% to 43.02 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which lost 3.15% to settle at 60.00 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 2.70% to 21.99 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 2.78% to 14.23, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which was up 0.93% to settle at 76.20 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which gained 0.54% to close at 22.20.
The worst performers were IONOS Group SE (ETR:IOSn) which was down 3.41% to 41.10 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which lost 3.15% to settle at 60.00 and Formycon AG (ETR:FYB) which was down 3.09% to 26.65 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 409 to 192 and 26 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Shares in K+S AG (ETR:SDFGn) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.21% or 0.52 to 16.73. Shares in Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG) fell to 5-year lows; falling 6.80% or 3.14 to 43.02.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.80% to 21.76.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.56% or 19.00 to $3,398.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.53% or 1.78 to hit $72.03 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.59% or 1.90 to trade at $75.13 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 97.93.
