Investing.com – Germany equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the DAX Construction, DAX Technology and DAX Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 1.02%, while the MDAX index declined 0.76%, and the TecDAX index fell 1.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG), which rose 0.84% or 0.28 points to trade at 33.73 at the close. Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) added 0.47% or 2.30 points to end at 490.40 and Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p) was up 0.42% or 0.28 points to 67.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which fell 4.81% or 12.80 points to trade at 253.40 in late trade. Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (ETR:MUVGn) declined 2.95% or 14.90 points to end at 490.30 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) down 2.64% or 0.85 points to 31.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which rose 5.15% to 13.16, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) which was up 3.39% to settle at 39.05 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 3.20% to close at 31.00.
The worst performers were Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which was down 3.51% to 23.64 in late trade, Stabilus (ETR:STM1) which lost 3.49% to settle at 35.95 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which was down 3.15% to 15.70 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which rose 5.15% to 13.16, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 3.20% to settle at 31.00 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which gained 3.17% to close at 96.00.
The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which was down 4.81% to 253.40 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which lost 3.01% to settle at 62.85 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was down 2.57% to 29.98 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 424 to 213 and 31 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Shares in Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) fell to 3-year lows; falling 3.51% or 0.86 to 23.64. Shares in Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.17% or 2.95 to 96.00.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.45% to 16.02.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 6.30 to $2,736.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.86% or 1.28 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.53% or 1.12 to trade at $74.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 103.74.
