Investing.com – Germany equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the DAX Construction, DAX Software and DAX Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.47%, while the MDAX index lost 0.27%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p), which rose 1.78% or 1.16 points to trade at 66.16 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG) added 1.58% or 0.47 points to end at 30.21 and Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) was up 1.11% or 0.44 points to 40.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG), which fell 2.09% or 0.71 points to trade at 33.23 in late trade. Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) declined 2.03% or 9.70 points to end at 468.30 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) down 1.82% or 0.55 points to 29.61.
The top performers on the MDAX were K+S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which rose 7.88% to 12.11, Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG) which was up 4.02% to settle at 75.05 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which gained 3.09% to close at 13.66.
The worst performers were Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) which was down 3.55% to 23.90 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which lost 2.94% to settle at 30.36 and Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which was down 2.88% to 35.37 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which rose 13.37% to 8.10, SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn) which was up 3.20% to settle at 54.80 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which gained 3.09% to close at 13.66.
The worst performers were Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKTG) which was down 3.68% to 47.05 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which lost 2.94% to settle at 30.36 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 2.30% to 87.15 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 405 to 221 and 27 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Shares in Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.55% or 0.88 to 23.90. Shares in Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKTG) fell to 3-year lows; losing 3.68% or 1.80 to 47.05.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.53% to 19.23.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.21% or 5.80 to $2,743.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.48% or 1.72 to hit $71.21 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.27% or 1.66 to trade at $74.76 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.78.
