Investing.com – Germany equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the DAX Software, DAX Consumer & Cyclical and DAX Industrial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 1.54% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index gained 1.82%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:HEIG), which rose 4.41% or 4.22 points to trade at 100.00 at the close. Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN) added 3.74% or 1.05 points to end at 28.97 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) was up 3.70% or 4.76 points to 133.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG), which fell 3.84% or 1.24 points to trade at 31.04 in late trade. E.ON SE (ETR:EONGn) declined 2.62% or 0.35 points to end at 13.18 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) down 2.42% or 0.79 points to 31.92.
The top performers on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which rose 6.23% to 34.78, Stabilus (ETR:STM1) which was up 4.97% to settle at 39.10 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which gained 4.56% to close at 38.30.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was down 2.81% to 8.59 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which lost 1.78% to settle at 6.34 and Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) which was down 0.83% to 37.11 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:EUZG) which rose 5.49% to 43.84, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was up 5.46% to settle at 80.15 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which gained 4.89% to close at 68.70.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was down 6.35% to 17.85 in late trade, SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn) which lost 3.25% to settle at 56.50 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 1.78% to 6.34 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 434 to 187 and 20 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.07% to 15.41.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.63% or 16.35 to $2,614.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.19% or 1.53 to hit $71.41 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.94% or 1.43 to trade at $75.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 100.42.
