Street Calls of the Week
Investing.com – Germany equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the DAX Insurance, DAX Financial Services and DAX Industrial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 1.17%, while the MDAX index gained 0.83%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG), which rose 3.56% or 5.76 points to trade at 167.46 at the close. E.ON SE (ETR:EONGn) added 2.60% or 0.40 points to end at 15.57 and Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:HEIG) was up 2.36% or 4.10 points to 177.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN), which fell 0.91% or 0.25 points to trade at 26.69 in late trade. Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) declined 0.60% or 0.58 points to end at 96.08 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) down 0.56% or 1.20 points to 214.00.
The top performers on the MDAX were Tui AG NA (ETR:TUI1n) which rose 6.46% to 6.59, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG) which was up 4.24% to settle at 8.90 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 4.24% to close at 94.55.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which was down 5.51% to 54.85 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which lost 1.88% to settle at 88.50 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 1.72% to 114.10 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which rose 4.24% to 94.55, Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which was up 2.00% to settle at 23.50 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 1.65% to close at 13.85.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which was down 5.51% to 54.85 in late trade, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which lost 2.08% to settle at 75.30 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 1.72% to 114.10 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 384 to 212 and 31 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 8.95% to 25.69 a new 1-month high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.66% or 22.48 to $3,385.62 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $73.54 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.75% or 2.17 to trade at $76.68 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 98.29.
