Investing.com – Germany equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the DAX Software, DAX Food & Beverage and DAX Industrial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.80%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.34%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), which rose 8.51% or 114.00 points to trade at 1,453.50 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) added 5.04% or 1.13 points to end at 23.55 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) was up 3.98% or 0.92 points to 24.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p), which fell 4.13% or 1.94 points to trade at 44.99 in late trade. Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) declined 3.22% or 7.00 points to end at 210.40 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) down 1.92% or 0.57 points to 29.31.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which rose 5.49% to 66.30, RENK Group AG (ETR:R3NK) which was up 5.39% to settle at 51.45 and HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which gained 5.13% to close at 8.89.
The worst performers were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:LHAG) which was down 4.50% to 6.24 in late trade, Traton SE (ETR:8TRA) which lost 3.60% to settle at 28.94 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which was down 3.13% to 2.54 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which rose 11.32% to 65.90, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 5.49% to settle at 66.30 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) which gained 2.33% to close at 254.60.
The worst performers were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was down 1.92% to 29.31 in late trade, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG) which lost 1.37% to settle at 57.70 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which was down 0.76% to 46.86 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 345 to 255 and 38 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Shares in Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.04% or 1.13 to 23.55.
The DAX New Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.34% to 23.02.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.72% or 23.94 to $3,323.76 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.26% or 1.40 to hit $60.65 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.13% or 1.38 to trade at $63.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 98.88.
