Investing.com – France equities were mixed at the close on Monday, as gains in the CAC Health Care, CAC Industrials and CAC Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher while losses in the CAC Banks, CAC Foods & Drug Retailers and CAC Electronic & Electrical Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.98%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 1.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW), which rose 1.77% or 1.20 points to trade at 68.84 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) added 1.11% or 0.34 points to end at 31.06 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was up 0.56% or 0.80 points to 144.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM), which fell 3.31% or 0.54 points to trade at 15.64 in late trade. Accor SA (EPA:ACCP) declined 2.40% or 0.87 points to end at 35.31 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) down 2.36% or 49.00 points to 2,026.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mercialys SA (EPA:MERY) which rose 2.57% to 11.59, Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which was up 2.04% to settle at 185.10 and JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX) which gained 2.00% to close at 19.34.
The worst performers were Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which was down 18.89% to 10.99 in late trade, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which lost 8.30% to settle at 0.85 and Fnac Darty SA (EPA:FNAC) which was down 7.63% to 27.85 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 274 to 204 and 108 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
Shares in Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.31% or 0.54 to 15.64.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 5.70 to $2,422.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.68% or 1.30 to hit $75.86 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.53% or 1.23 to trade at $79.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 104.37.
