Investing.com – France equities were mixed at the close on Friday, as gains in the CAC Financials, CAC Oil & Gas and CAC Health Care sectors led shares higher while losses in the CAC Health Care Equipment & Services, CAC Gas Water & Multiutilities and CAC Industrial Transportation sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.26%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which rose 4.38% or 2.01 points to trade at 47.93 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) added 2.21% or 0.84 points to end at 38.93 and Vinci SA (EPA:SGEF) was up 1.84% or 1.90 points to 105.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Accor SA (EPA:ACCP), which fell 2.33% or 0.92 points to trade at 38.65 in late trade. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) declined 1.21% or 2.80 points to end at 227.75 and Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) down 1.17% or 1.94 points to 163.46.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which rose 13.26% to 2.24, Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which was up 5.06% to settle at 110.00 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) which gained 4.38% to close at 47.93.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 4.89% to 0.73 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which lost 4.42% to settle at 2.64 and Ipsen SA (EPA:IPN) which was down 2.71% to 111.20 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 258 to 242 and 98 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
Shares in Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) fell to all time lows; losing 4.89% or 0.04 to 0.73.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.08% or 25.65 to $2,395.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.37% or 0.31 to hit $84.19 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.18 to trade at $87.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 104.63.
