Investing.com – France equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 1.06%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP), which rose 1.67% or 3.67 points to trade at 223.07 at the close. Klepierre (PA:LOIM) added 0.81% or 0.30 points to end at 38.03 and Technip (PA:TECF) was up 0.66% or 0.39 points to 59.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (PA:NOKIA), which lost 4.39% or 0.204 points to trade at 4.441 in late trade. AXA SA (PA:AXAF) declined 3.47% or 0.72 points to end at 20.04 and Credit Agricole SA (PA:CAGR) shed 3.22% or 0.301 points to 9.049.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Edenred (PA:EDEN) which rose 2.19% to 20.53, Innate Pharma (PA:IPH) which was up 1.88% to settle at 10.830 and GTT (PA:GTT) which gained 1.82% to close at 28.84.
The worst performers were CNP Assurances (PA:CNPP) which was down 4.58% to 14.475 in late trade, Genfit (PA:GNFT) which lost 4.55% to settle at 18.055 and Nokia Oyj (PA:NOKIA) which was down 4.39% to 4.441 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 442 to 235 and 112 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 1.17% to 19.65.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.36% or 4.55 to $1258.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $50.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.10 to trade at $51.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1040, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.9031.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.64.
