Investing.com – France equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the CAC Consumer Goods, CAC Consumer Service and CAC Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.43%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV), which rose 3.84% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.82 at the close. Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) added 3.28% or 1.15 points to end at 36.10 and Vinci SA (EPA:SGEF) was up 2.42% or 2.60 points to 109.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which fell 4.69% or 4.95 points to trade at 100.65 in late trade. Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) declined 4.56% or 1.48 points to end at 30.96 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) down 4.09% or 10.30 points to 241.60.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were SES (EPA:SESFd) which rose 7.41% to 3.77, Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) which was up 3.84% to settle at 2.82 and Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) which gained 3.28% to close at 36.10.
The worst performers were Valneva (EPA:VLS) which was down 6.18% to 3.13 in late trade, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which lost 6.13% to settle at 7.66 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) which was down 4.69% to 100.65 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 286 to 223 and 74 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.35% or 9.99 to $2,886.69 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.23% or 0.16 to hit $70.77 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.18 to trade at $74.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 107.91.
