Investing.com – France equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the CAC Industrials, CAC Oil & Gas and CAC Personal Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.12%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.74% or 3.34 points to trade at 92.66 at the close. Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) added 3.73% or 6.15 points to end at 170.90 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 1.86% or 0.69 points to 37.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN), which fell 7.47% or 18.30 points to trade at 226.70 in late trade. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) declined 3.24% or 0.79 points to end at 23.60 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) down 1.16% or 0.15 points to 12.82.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which rose 8.00% to 225.50, Alten SA (EPA:LTEN) which was up 7.73% to settle at 89.20 and Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which gained 4.88% to close at 12.90.
The worst performers were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) which was down 7.47% to 226.70 in late trade, Viridien SA (EPA:VIRI) which lost 4.16% to settle at 56.74 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) which was down 3.24% to 23.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 270 to 230 and 86 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.99% or 27.46 to $2,793.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $73.09 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.13 to trade at $76.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 107.78.
