Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the CAC Financials, CAC Health Care and CAC Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 1.00%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR), which rose 2.44% or 0.32 points to trade at 13.23 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 2.19% or 1.76 points to end at 82.16 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was up 2.08% or 0.26 points to 12.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which fell 0.84% or 0.28 points to trade at 33.17 in late trade. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) declined 0.77% or 0.38 points to end at 49.10 and Renault SA (EPA:RENA) down 0.49% or 0.23 points to 46.85.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which unchanged 17.39% to 0.00, Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which was up 12.69% to settle at 5.95 and Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which gained 9.89% to close at 2.04.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was down 1.85% to 2.22 in late trade, Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) which lost 0.84% to settle at 33.17 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) which was down 0.77% to 49.10 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 327 to 174 and 98 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
Shares in Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) fell to all time lows; down 1.85% or 0.04 to 2.22.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.91% or 24.09 to $2,629.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.82% or 0.57 to hit $70.19 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.74% or 0.54 to trade at $73.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 107.89.
