Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the CAC Health Care, CAC Technology and CAC Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.80%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN), which rose 3.37% or 0.89 points to trade at 27.28 at the close. Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) added 3.02% or 4.80 points to end at 164.00 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 2.03% or 0.64 points to 32.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which fell 1.96% or 0.82 points to trade at 41.08 in late trade. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) declined 0.72% or 0.18 points to end at 24.85 and AXA SA (EPA:AXAF) down 0.70% or 0.24 points to 34.28.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which rose 8.23% to 3.87, Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which was up 5.95% to settle at 24.20 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which gained 4.75% to close at 192.00.
The worst performers were Viridien SA (EPA:VIRI) which was down 4.11% to 36.75 in late trade, Television Francaise 1 SA (EPA:TFFP) which lost 3.82% to settle at 7.31 and Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was down 3.70% to 3.70 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 283 to 198 and 89 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 2.90 to $2,752.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.98% or 0.68 to hit $69.94 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.95% or 0.69 to trade at $73.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP fell 0.70% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.08.
