Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the CAC Industrials, CAC Utilities and CAC Health Care sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.48%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR), which rose 3.92% or 5.02 points to trade at 132.92 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 2.17% or 1.88 points to end at 88.42 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) was up 2.09% or 1.56 points to 76.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR), which fell 2.94% or 0.46 points to trade at 15.00 in late trade. Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) declined 2.79% or 0.34 points to end at 11.85 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) down 1.47% or 2.20 points to 147.20.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) which rose 5.30% to 135.00, Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which was up 4.26% to settle at 9.55 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) which gained 3.92% to close at 132.92.
The worst performers were Mersen (EPA:CBLP) which was down 9.81% to 23.90 in late trade, SES (EPA:SESFd) which lost 7.38% to settle at 3.96 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was down 4.92% to 1.16 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 251 to 240 and 108 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
Shares in Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.79% or 0.34 to 11.85. Shares in Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) rose to all time highs; up 5.30% or 6.80 to 135.00. Shares in Mersen (EPA:CBLP) fell to 3-year lows; down 9.81% or 2.60 to 23.90. Shares in SES (EPA:SESFd) fell to all time lows; falling 7.38% or 0.32 to 3.96. Shares in Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.92% or 0.06 to 1.16.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.41% or 37.25 to $2,676.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.71% or 0.54 to hit $75.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.62% or 0.49 to trade at $78.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.66.
