Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the CAC Health Care, CAC Industrials and CAC Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.32%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Safran SA (EPA:SAF), which rose 1.95% or 4.00 points to trade at 208.80 at the close. Thales (EPA:TCFP) added 1.90% or 2.80 points to end at 150.00 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was up 1.77% or 0.21 points to 12.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kering SA (EPA:PRTP), which fell 3.83% or 9.15 points to trade at 230.00 in late trade. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) declined 2.34% or 15.30 points to end at 637.80 and Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) down 1.44% or 0.49 points to 33.58.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which rose 4.21% to 13.38, ID Logistics SAS (EPA:IDLA) which was up 3.60% to settle at 388.50 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which gained 3.50% to close at 13.46.
The worst performers were Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which was down 6.07% to 8.97 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which lost 4.40% to settle at 3.17 and SEB SA (EPA:SEBF) which was down 4.19% to 97.15 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 270 to 243 and 80 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.49% or 13.05 to $2,663.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.44% or 1.84 to hit $73.72 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.29% or 1.81 to trade at $77.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 103.03.
