Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the CAC Technology, CAC Consumer Goods and CAC Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.18% to hit a new 6-month high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 2.50% or 2.50 points to trade at 102.50 at the close. Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) added 1.98% or 1.56 points to end at 80.50 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) was up 1.74% or 4.80 points to 280.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 1.73% or 0.48 points to trade at 27.22 in late trade. Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) declined 1.58% or 1.66 points to end at 103.70 and AXA SA (EPA:AXAF) down 1.24% or 0.47 points to 37.53.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which rose 9.15% to 1.41, Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which was up 8.71% to settle at 9.04 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which unchanged 8.00% to close at 0.00.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was down 19.14% to 1.39 in late trade, Valneva (EPA:VLS) which lost 9.46% to settle at 3.35 and Rexel (EPA:RXL) which was down 3.07% to 26.22 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 279 to 219 and 79 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
Shares in Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) fell to all time lows; losing 19.14% or 0.33 to 1.39.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.24% or 36.44 to $2,908.96 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.52% or 0.37 to hit $70.92 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.13 to trade at $74.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 106.63.
