Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the CAC Industrials, CAC Consumer Service and CAC Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.13% to hit a new 6-month high, while the SBF 120 index added 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Thales (EPA:TCFP), which rose 7.83% or 12.95 points to trade at 178.30 at the close. Safran SA (EPA:SAF) added 2.48% or 6.10 points to end at 252.10 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 2.39% or 0.65 points to 27.87 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV), which fell 3.41% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.95 in late trade. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 1.66% or 1.70 points to end at 100.80 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) down 1.61% or 11.50 points to 701.50.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Thales (EPA:TCFP) which rose 7.83% to 178.30, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was unchanged 7.41% to settle at 0.00 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which gained 6.49% to close at 233.00.
The worst performers were Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which was down 7.56% to 8.35 in late trade, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which lost 5.83% to settle at 1.31 and Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) which was down 3.41% to 2.95 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 276 to 231 and 79 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.39% or 11.30 to $2,912.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.65% or 0.46 to hit $71.17 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.35 to trade at $75.09 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 106.67.
