Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the CAC Consumer Goods, CAC Consumer Service and CAC Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.08%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 4.74% or 1.91 points to trade at 42.18 at the close. Danone SA (EPA:DANO) added 2.75% or 1.76 points to end at 65.76 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) was up 2.46% or 15.10 points to 628.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which fell 14.65% or 5.04 points to trade at 29.37 in late trade. Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:MICP) declined 8.22% or 2.78 points to end at 31.03 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) down 2.35% or 0.78 points to 32.35.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were BIC (EPA:BICP) which rose 13.58% to 66.90, Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which was up 7.58% to settle at 53.95 and Sodexo SA (EPA:EXHO) which gained 6.50% to close at 81.15.
The worst performers were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) which was down 14.65% to 29.37 in late trade, Mersen (EPA:CBLP) which lost 9.51% to settle at 22.35 and Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:MICP) which was down 8.22% to 31.03 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 247 to 235 and 107 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.49% or 13.45 to $2,742.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.99% or 0.70 to hit $70.07 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.88% or 0.66 to trade at $74.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.06.
