Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Helsinki Basic Materials, Helsinki Technology and Helsinki Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 2.61% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 4.30% or 0.40 points to trade at 9.70 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.65% or 0.28 points to end at 43.66 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.28% or 0.12 points to 42.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 7.40% or 0.49 points to trade at 6.14 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 6.26% or 1.17 points to end at 17.54 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) down 5.49% or 4.50 points to 77.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 147 to 29 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) fell to 3-year lows; down 7.40% or 0.49 to 6.14.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.79% or 2.22 to $77.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.17% or 2.42 to hit $73.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 4.75 to trade at $2,476.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.08% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.68% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.04% at 103.12.
