Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Helsinki Basic Materials, OMX Helsinki Health Care PI and Helsinki Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 2.25% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 0.36% or 0.04 points to trade at 9.62 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) fell 0.68% or 0.41 points to end at 59.70 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was down 0.75% or 0.13 points to 17.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which fell 4.32% or 1.04 points to trade at 23.01 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 4.25% or 0.37 points to end at 8.43 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) down 4.20% or 1.93 points to 44.03.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 143 to 34 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.39% or 0.28 to $72.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.43% or 0.29 to hit $68.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 14.85 to trade at $2,602.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.58% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 106.04.
