Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Helsinki Technology, Helsinki Telecommunications and Helsinki Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.14% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.37% or 0.05 points to trade at 13.53 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.28% or 0.01 points to end at 4.94 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 0.03% or 0.01 points to 14.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which fell 18.31% or 15.65 points to trade at 69.80 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 3.81% or 0.30 points to end at 7.62 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) down 2.78% or 0.67 points to 23.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 126 to 51 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.67% or 0.48 to $72.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.74% or 0.51 to hit $69.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.79% or 50.05 to trade at $2,750.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.76% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.03.
