Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Helsinki Basic Materials, Helsinki Financials and Helsinki Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.97%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 1.59% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.68 at the close. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) added 1.48% or 0.14 points to end at 9.28 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.42% or 0.18 points to 43.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 6.16% or 0.44 points to trade at 6.63 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.55% or 1.20 points to end at 45.92 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) down 2.41% or 0.63 points to 25.54.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 111 to 60 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.75% or 0.61 to $80.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.03% or 0.80 to hit $77.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 16.85 to trade at $2,489.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 104.16.
