Finland shares lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.86% – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare , Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.86% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE: DNAO ), which rose 3.75% or 0.6100 points to trade at 16.8700 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ) added 2.68% or 0.96 points to end at 36.82 and Outotec Oyj (HE: OTE1V ) was up 1.56% or 0.052 points to 3.387 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE: CGCBV ), which lost 4.36% or 1.48 points to trade at 32.48 in late trade. Konecranes ABP (HE: KCRA ) declined 3.05% or 0.92 points to end at 29.25 and Metso Oyj (HE: METSO ) shed 2.39% or 0.61 points to 24.92.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 63 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.26% or 0.16 to $62.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.23% or 0.12 to hit $53.37 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1243.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1352, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8908.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.925.
