Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Helsinki Basic Materials, Helsinki Financials and Helsinki Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 2.34% or 0.98 points to trade at 42.90 at the close. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) added 0.76% or 0.08 points to end at 9.94 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.36% or 0.14 points to 38.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 2.55% or 0.33 points to trade at 12.61 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 2.25% or 0.73 points to end at 31.65 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) down 1.85% or 0.21 points to 11.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 91 to 78 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.30% or 0.26 to $87.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.45% or 0.38 to hit $84.26 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 23.50 to trade at $2,392.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 104.62.
