Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Helsinki Oil & Gas, Helsinki Basic Materials and Helsinki Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 3.62% or 0.33 points to trade at 9.30 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 1.64% or 0.30 points to end at 18.55 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.21% or 0.70 points to 58.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 3.39% or 0.45 points to trade at 12.82 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 2.79% or 0.25 points to end at 8.84 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) down 2.61% or 1.33 points to 49.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 101 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.39% or 0.45 to 12.82. Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) rose to all time highs; up 1.21% or 0.70 to 58.69.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.66% or 2.01 to $73.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.05% or 2.21 to hit $70.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 13.45 to trade at $2,692.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.86% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 104.92.
