Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Helsinki Oil & Gas, OMX Helsinki Health Care PI and Helsinki Telecommunications sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which rose 1.23% or 0.48 points to trade at 39.47 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 0.79% or 0.02 points to end at 2.41 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 0.34% or 0.03 points to 7.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 5.75% or 1.01 points to trade at 16.64 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 1.63% or 0.28 points to end at 16.60 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) down 1.18% or 0.09 points to 7.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 98 to 66 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.75% or 1.01 to 16.64.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.16% or 0.14 to $85.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.16% or 0.13 to hit $80.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 2.45 to trade at $2,344.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.82.
