Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Helsinki Utilities, Helsinki Telecommunications and Helsinki Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.04% or 0.12 points to trade at 5.74 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.72% or 0.26 points to end at 15.38 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.46% or 0.16 points to 10.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 5.68% or 2.62 points to trade at 43.54 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 3.48% or 0.51 points to end at 14.01 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) down 3.01% or 0.56 points to 17.91.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 91 to 72 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.30% or 1.71 to $76.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.51% or 1.76 to hit $71.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 13.40 to trade at $2,752.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 103.89.
