Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Helsinki Basic Materials, Helsinki Technology and Helsinki Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.28% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.37 at the close. Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) added 2.25% or 0.10 points to end at 4.41 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was up 0.93% or 0.08 points to 8.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which fell 2.34% or 2.10 points to trade at 87.80 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.25% or 0.13 points to end at 5.64 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) down 1.66% or 0.18 points to 10.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 91 to 66 and 32 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.28% or 0.10 to 4.37. Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) fell to 3-year lows; falling 2.25% or 0.13 to 5.64.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.48% or 1.08 to $74.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.79% or 1.23 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 5.10 to trade at $2,735.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 103.76.
