Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Helsinki Basic Materials, Helsinki Industrials and Helsinki Telecommunications sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 5.02% or 0.63 points to trade at 13.08 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 0.82% or 0.12 points to end at 14.14 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) was up 0.73% or 0.03 points to 4.53 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 3.07% or 0.29 points to trade at 9.17 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 2.17% or 0.20 points to end at 8.93 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) down 2.07% or 1.45 points to 68.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 90 to 80 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.78% or 0.59 to $76.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.22% or 0.89 to hit $74.02 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 15.19 to trade at $2,653.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 108.86.
