Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Helsinki Telecommunications, OMX Helsinki Consumer Services PI and Helsinki Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 8.15% or 0.32 points to trade at 4.27 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 3.33% or 0.30 points to end at 9.44 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 1.86% or 0.06 points to 3.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 4.71% or 2.30 points to trade at 46.56 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 4.17% or 0.67 points to end at 15.29 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) down 2.04% or 0.99 points to 47.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 88 to 76 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 8.15% or 0.32 to 4.27. Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.17% or 0.67 to 15.29.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.01% or 1.50 to $72.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.07% or 1.46 to hit $69.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 22.85 to trade at $2,730.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 103.41.
