Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Helsinki Oil & Gas, Helsinki Telecommunications and OMX Helsinki Consumer Services PI sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.75% or 0.72 points to trade at 19.93 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.67% or 0.13 points to end at 3.73 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was up 2.03% or 0.37 points to 18.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 5.94% or 0.58 points to trade at 9.18 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 1.25% or 0.58 points to end at 45.92 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) down 0.60% or 0.03 points to 4.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 117 to 50 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.94% or 1.55 to $81.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.91% or 1.47 to hit $78.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 16.55 to trade at $2,496.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 102.73.
